RIVERSIDE GARDEN 240 RIVERSIDE MARQUEE 240

Dunkeld House Estate lies at the gateway to 'Highland Perthshire'. Although the present building only dates back as far as 1898, the estate itself was home to the Earls of Atholl from as early as 1529. It is rumoured that the 4th Duke of Atholl was often seen sitting at the river's edge enjoying the music of famous Dunkeld fiddle player and composer Niel Gow. The music would drift across the water as he played under his favourite oak tree on the opposite bank.

The lovely marquee in the grounds of the hotel is where we all enjoyed last year's Farewell Bash so we thought this would be a great opportunity to grow the possible audience for the first of our Amber Afternoon Concerts...and celebrate the Opening Concert of our 12th Annual Perthshire Amber Festival by the banks of the Tay...with the wonderful Dunkeld House tea and cakes to follow the music!
