Amber Shades Online 2024

Here's the Latest Update...

As we first mentioned in our March Newsletter (and again many times since), our Amber offering this year is limited to an online one! This is due to large scale building work happening at Cardney Steading, where we now host our annual event. We LOVE Cardney Steading and will return there...but it's important that our next Shades of Amber there is the best ever!...so it's worth the wait!

Things will be different in 2025... and we look forward to that!

Meanwhile we are assembling many of our musical friends here at Butterstone to make sure that you all get your early November fix of the very best music online!! The dates are Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November 2024.

There will be 3 concerts (all different programmes ... so make sure you catch all of them!) :

A brief history of our Live Streamed Concerts…

We had the first broadcast of our wee live concerts on March 21st 2020 when lock-down (due to the Covid 19 epidemic ) began for us in Scotland. We broadcast free concerts from the Old Schoolhouse in Butterstone every second night for 30 concerts, then twice a week til concert Live 40…and since then weekly. There have since been over three and a half million views (and rising!) of the free of charge’ concerts via Facebook, Vimeo and YouTube from almost 70 different counties and we know from messages and emails that Dougie’s music and stories are really helping so many to cope with the unusual and challenging times we live in. Our ticketed concerts help us to keep the music going! So over three Yeats later we are still regularly broadcasting on a Saturday night ... only interrupted on occasion when Dougie has a concert in a venue.

In 2022 we broadcast one half of two of the concerts during Shades of Amber 2022. In 2023 the purchase of ane of our Weekend Megastream Ticket gave access to all four of the main concerts during the weekend.

This year is different as it's based at Butterstone with no 'audience' as such ... just our musical friends and an our wee organising team. Having now built up a 'global family' of viewers in over 70 different counties we want this year to be able to share two concerts and our '360 degree session'! And it is completely FREE OF CHARGE.
